Housing for people with disability is a diverse and dynamic space. Activity can occur at the national level, in a particular State/Territory and/or at various local levels, sometimes in an uncoordinated way. Initiatives are often framed as a housing focus in a disability initiative or disability focus in a housing initiative. These responses can be set within a larger cycle, which commences with an issue being identified and ends with program delivery. The lead players are often Federal or State/Territory Governments and sometimes their agencies, such as the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA).
Charting activities on an “Issue to Delivery Cycle” can be a handy way of capturing and placing the diversity of actions often underway that are usually not fully known to everyone.
